Lies ..

Kipling:

... "Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies."

As known, "lie" when used as a verb may denote one out of two verbs:

the action of telling a lie, and the action of becoming horizontal.

It is clear to me that here the usage of "lied about" is to describe lies being told; but,

there is an English idiom which has another meaning but looks the same: "lie about" which means to be lazy etc.

Is there a game of words here that I don't see?
