Letter writing help

Hey, I'm writing a letter in Spanish to a woman I've never met. It's not a formal letter, just thanking her for her help.

I'm not sure how to start it. Ie dear mrs x?
Also, how to finish it? Its not formal but then again we're not familiar, so not really sure what to put.

Any help would be much appreciated!
