Regarding Agha Shahid Ali's poem "***", I was wondering if you could give me some help. There are questiones I'm not quite clear:why Ali mentioned about "amputation"in the midle of the poem?Does the amputation have any relationship to the two persons(the author and his grandmother)in the poem?
Thank you for your time and for any comments you may give me.
