Dear all,please can somone check the following letter? Only English or American native speakers please.Thank you in advance"Dear XXXI am very sorry to tell you that the cost for the construction of your stand increased.Our constructor while was examinating the state of the graphics stored in our warehouse, realized that some of them got unusable because of bad weather conditions and passing of time.The cost for repriting them will be .... € and this amount should be paid by you.Please also note, that in our offer is mentioned that the price for renting the stand includes the storage of the same but doesn´t mention of any assurance from our side so we can not pay the cost for printing.Dear XXX please understand that we won´t be able to give you a further discount, just for your info, we will not have any profit on this project, the costs will be higher than last time and the labour under the work is very harduous.I hope in your understandingRegards "

I am very sorry to inform you that the cost for the construction of your stand has increased.

Whilst examining the graphics stored in our warehouse we realised that some of them are unusable due to weather damage and general wear and tear.

Unfortunately you will need to cover the cost of reprinting which will be .... €

Please note, that whilst storage is included in the stand rental price we do not to guarantee against damage or wear and tear. As such we are not liable for the reprinting costs.

Dear *** please understand that we are carrying out this work as cheaply as we can and are unable to give you a further discount.

For your information, we will not make any profit on this project. The costs will be higher than last time and the labour is very intensive.

My first question is regarding your use of "whilst" I thought it is a synonym for "although" so in this case I do not get why you put it in this sentece.

I would like to add some more comments, please check.

You wrote:

1- You will need to cover the cost...." Why did you use the verb "to need" ? I think he doesn´t need but rather he must or should......Is it wrong to use "you will have to"?

2- "to cover the cost" is it like to say "to pay" I did not know that "to cover"can be used in this context as well.

3- "to make a profit" Why can´t it be"to have a profit" or "to get a profit" ?

While our assembler was examining the state of the graphics stored in our warehouse, he discovered that some of them were unusable, having deteriorated because of bad weather conditions and the passing of time.

The cost for reprinting them will be .... €, so this is the amount we will be charging you.

Please note that our offer mentions that the price for renting the stand includes storage, but we make no guarantees for any reprinting that may be necessary. Consequently, we cannot absorb the costs for reprinting, and we won´t be able to give you a further discount.

Just for your information, we are charging you only what it costs us, and the costs are higher than last time, so we will not be taking any profit on this project. I hope you understand.

1."while" is ok, I was previously corrected with "whilst" can you explain this correction?

2."he discovered" I thought that this verb can be used only in such a sentence "America was discovered in year...."

is it uncorrect to use "to find out" or "to realize" ?

3. "to make guarantees" ok, could I use "to insure" (to insure the materials against the weather conditions)?

4. I was corrected with "to cover the costs" is it OK? To absord, I find OK

5. You corrected : "to take a profit" can I say "to have a profit" ?

nooooo :-))))))))) I really hope my request didn´t sound that rude :-( or discriminating ...

I meant that I need a comment from somone who knows English at the best level, usually only native English speakers do.

I do not wish help from students from countries where English is not native language, because in the most of cases I get confused after reading their comments.

I find very helpful if somone who has English like native language or even a teacher can suggest a correction because I need it to be at 100% correct.

I want to improve my english so much but I need a qualified person able to answer my questions in the right way.

I hope you get what I was meaning :-)

"whilst" is British. We don't use it in the U.S. We only use "while".

I don't even know the rules, if there are any, for how the British use "whilst" or "while".

It's not incorrect to use those others, but I thought 'discovered' sounded better. And it's not just for discovering continents. You can even discover that your umbrella is missing!

Yes. You can say "insure the materials".

"to cover the costs" = "to absorb the costs" Either one. It's the same idea.

"to have a profit" is OK, but we don't often say it like that.
