Left vs left over
Hi, excuse me for reposting this question. Maybe my writing wasn't clear enough so I couldn't have a proper answer.
I would like to know the difference between "be left" and "be left over," being used in a sentence like below.
After we’ve paid the bills, there’s never much left over.
In other word, with this "over" added, what kind of effect are you trying to make or emphasize?
