My name is John Doe. After attending an interview with your company's respectful staff of employers last week, I was approved to fill the open position of a Computer Programmer in your sales department.
During my interview, for my first day on the job, I was asked to introduce myself to the sales department manager, on Sunday the seventeenth of May, promptly at eight a.m.
Since my interview, an unexpected and unfortunate death in our close relatives, has obligated my family and me to attend the burial ceremonies in the neighboring city of Shiraz. This occasion coincides with the date of my interview; my opportunity to honorably make your acquaintance.
