what is the difference between social and legal agreement?

Hi, I'm sure you'll find some information if you google these terms, particularly the latter. However, here's what the words mean to me, as a non-lawyer. a legal agreement - one that is enforceable by law eg a written agreement betweena buyer and seller, witnessed, etc.
