L2 Acquisition - reading material needed

I need to do some swotting on L2 learning / acquisition. Could anyone suggest a reading list on the subject? I'm looking for the kind of thing you would have to read on an introductory course, at university level,

Yes we are. At least we are until I find out I can't follow it! I have done a little psycholinguistics before, but never touched on SLA.
