Keeping me happy
- My girlfriend doesn't want me to hang out with my buddies. I don't want to ditch my friends because they are the ones that keeping me happy, listening to my problems.
- Why don't say we "make" instead of "keep"? By the way, speaking of grammar, it should be "keep me happy, listen to my problems", right?

My girlfriend doesn't want me to hang out with my buddies. I don't want to ditch my friends , because they are the ones that are making/keeping me happy, listening to my problems. You can say 'make' or 'keep'; they have different meanings.
