Just a little grammar query..
I'm working on an English paragraph response and just have a quick question about this particular sentence:
"Imagery of the colour white is also employed by Plath to convey the dire nature of her depression-induced struggles, using it as an allusion for strain and struggle by observing that the moon is 'white as a knuckle and terribly upset'."
In this particular sentence, is it correct to say she is using it as an allusion FOR strain and struggle, is it correct to say TO strain and struggle?
I am aware that this is reasonably trivial and that both may, in fact, be correct, but was unsure!
