I've given my thoughts on sentences that I'm not sure of Please help me (14 sent)
If a teacher could take a look at these questions please, I'd appreciate it.
1 When going to the casino, you have to be willing/ready to lose your money to win some. BOTH
2 My firend don't go past this part of town. They say its sketchy. OK
3 I'm broke but I could be doing worse/I could be worse off. BOTH (worse off)
4 I hate knowing that he uses his computer for illegal purposes. I don't know about PURPOSES
5 What you did will come back to him one day. He might not know it now, but he'll hear it from somene. (is the bold part correct, something you'd say or is it a translation from french?) Not sure
6 I had to get on the train car where there were police./ in which there were police. Not sure
7 I used to be into samsung phones, but my friend turned me onto/put me onto Nokias. turned
8 If a clear cloudless blue sky is your idea of heaven then this is heaven. (literary) OK
9 The computer might be effecient today but in a year it'll be out of technology. Not sure
10 How many floors are there in the building you live in? OK stories too
11 I'll give you 1000 dollars if you can walk from here to my house carrying this. not sure
12 Let's hope we're at the right/correct end of the platform. If we're not we'll have to walk through the train till we get to the other end.
