when i'm introducing a chair or a t-shirt, can i say:
'look she is nice, or he looks great.''?
a friend of mine told me that in this case i need to use the term 'it',
is that a fact? is a grammar rule?

Your friend is right. Use 'it' for things. There are just a few exceptions.
