Is this sentence correct?
Hello,
My native language is not English and it would be very nice if a native speaker could tell me if the following sentence is correct. Does it sound "weird", or "not English enough" maybe?... Please tell me, thanks in advance.

It's more natural than most. The word "long" is unnecessary. " in order to discover thoroughly the specificities of the trade "specificities" is a little much.

It's a direct translation from a sentence I wrote in my native tongue (French), but it doesn't sound really presumptuous in French. Can you think of another way to say it without having it sound presumptuous? (don't hesitate to modify it, even if the meaning is not exactly the same afterwards).
