Is this right expression?

Hi, I got this situation that i need to come up with some expression as below during the conversation with my friend about his online course.

He studies online classes and i just wanted to ask him if there is any fixed schedule for the class or if he just gets online casually for the class.

So what i wonder is if the bold lettered sentences are correct, or your better suggestions will be appreiated because i am pretty sure there must be some better expressions for what i really mean.

Thanks
