Hi, i wonder if this paragraph is good English?

«These new detection methods can contribute to food safety by improving the success in predicting the potential production of toxins before they can be detected, thereby minimizing the risk of contamination.»

Almost. I would make a couple of small changes and clarify the logic.
These new detection methods can contribute to food safety by improving our ability to predict ~~the success in predicting~~ the potential production of toxins before they can otherwise be detected, thereby minimizing the risk of contamination.

the success in predicting is awkward and unclear. So I would replace it.

There is also a logical conflict when you talk about "new detection methods" that detect something "before they can be detected." Either they can detect or they can't. What was meant, I believe, is that the new methods of detection do more than the old methods of detection. In other words, the writer is talking about two different methods of detection. That needs to be made clear.
