Is this grammatically correct, and how can I make it flow better?

The arguments are as follows: (1) The issue of race relations should be handled by local leaders instead of “outsiders” like himself. (2) Negotiation is a better path. (3) The methods used by demonstrators are extreme and unjustified. (4) The demonstrations are “unwise and untimely.” and (5) The courts are dealing with the issues of civil rights; you all just need to be patient.
