This sentence has some problems.

The semi-colon is not appropriately used.
The second part of the sentence switches to direct speech.
In addition, the 'rocket scientist' idiom is not used quite naturally.

Here are better versions.
Finally, I was able to figure out who my true allies really were. No, it did not take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

Finally, I was able to figure out who my true allies really were. No, I did not have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out.

Finally, I was able to figure out who my true allies really were, and I did not have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out.

Finally, I was able to figure out who my true allies really were; I did not have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out.

Unless you want the repetition in order to add emphasis, just say ' . . . a rocket scientist ~~to figure that out~~ to do that.'
