Is Periodic meeting to be 'a' meeting? or meeting's'?

'We will have meeting"s" on a weekly basis' or 'We will have "a" meeting on a weekly basis?'

Both are OK as for 'meeting(s)', but 'on a...basis' is poor style, a verbose, unnecessary piece of bizspeak that should be avoided.

We will have weekly meetings.
