Are -is correct.

Though, I have a question. Is " brought in " being used as a compound verb. Because the sentence is not very clear if the context is such that people living in a remote area rely on the aerial drops or a truck to bring in the neccessity goods. If that is the case, I think it would be better to say "Goods are sometimes brought in by trucks /a truck.".

If "brought" is not a compound verb, then perhaps "transported" is a better alternative.,

Well i don't think you you could deem it wrong. After all "Santa BRINGS the presents".

It just seems unnatural to me too, so I'd try using "bring in" or something else.
