Is my teacher wrong or am I wrong?
My teacher asked us to combine the two sentences together by using subordinated conjunction.
I like to read.
I like to write.
Here is how I've done it:
I like to write, for I like to read.
I checked some grammar books and they say "for" is a subordinated conjunction, but my teacher circled my the phrase "subordinated conjunction" on my quiz paper. I am confused... I am asking whether the sentence is grammatically correct, and did I use the subordinated conjunction correctly( if "for" is a subordinated conjunction)

For is an unusual conjunction nowadays, but it is usually classified as a coordinating conjunction: F A N B O Y S for and nor but or yet so
