Hi guys. I woder if any nice person would be able to check the following letter and let me know if there's something I should correct. Thanks
Dear Mr.
I have had the pleasure of working with Marissa Anzueto as her English teacher and in accordance with her petition I’m writing a summary of our work and future expectations for you to use it as you may find convenient.
As other teachers, I focus on four general skills when teaching a language: listening, reading comprehension, writing and oral. On the beginning class I evaluated her to have an idea about her English level, this way we would work on her needs.
We considered important to work mostly on developing her oral and writing skills, as well as on some specific grammar points which would help her to express her ideas better.
At this moment, I would say she has improved her oral skills by getting used to express her ideas within the proper structure. She also has gained confidence, and trough some comments and patience from colleagues, she’s discovered she is more talented than what she thought.
I can surely say, she is doing well but more constancy and oral practice are necessary. If time permits, by December this year she will be able to express herself even better in a fluent manner, capable to give a presentation with no problem.
Of course, there’s much work to do yet, but with the positive attitude she has toward it, support from her teamwork and some more guidance she would improve greatly. As you must know, learning English as any other language, takes time and effort.
I’m glad to know there are companies like you capable to engage and motivate your team, just as you preach.
Yours Sincerely,
