Procrastination is the act of putting off intentionally and habitually the doing of something that needs to be done (Definition of procrastinate). According to psychologist William Knaus, an estimated 90% of college students procrastinate; 25% of whom do so regularly (Overcoming Procrastination). I admit that I am also a victim of this terrible habit; it seems that every task that I am required to do involves me procrastinating to some extent. However, I have learnt that procrastination has negative effects on our lives; it is not conducive to good health, happiness or success.
