Internet banks or Internet banks?

Dear teachers,My understanding is that "Internet" should always start with Captial "I."Accordingly, I think the following sentence should be changed as follows:  Also, internet banks, such as K-bank, are expected to be accredited in January 2017.=&gt; Also, Internet banks, such as K-bank, are expected to be accredited in January 2017.Is this correct?Thanks and best regards,David Kim

The advice on the style guides has been changing. Lower case is acceptable.

...although the lowercase form is rapidly gaining more widespread use. In British publications, internet is now the more common form.

While the uppercase form Internet may still be preferred in formal writing, the lowercase form internet is regularly used in media, especially technology-related publications, and in most informal writing such as email and text messages. In contrast, the related term intranet (a private, usually restricted network) is written lowercase and often takes the indefinite article: The company has an intranet to access its business records.
