Install

I know that "installing" something can mean "to put a new program into a computer".

But when do we use "install" to mean "putting an equipment or furniture in place" ?

Can it be used for all equipments as in "install a bulb into a socket" ?

Hi, 'Install' commonly means'put in its permanent place, from which it will not be moved'. eg I installed a new sink in my kitchen. eg They installed new equipment in the factory.
