Infinitives as Adv/Adj =s
Hmmm... Infinitives are kind of confusing when I don't know if the function is an adj or adv.
"Wherever Melissa goes, she always brings a book to read"
"To read" is an adj. modifying "book". However, to me, it kind of sounds like n adv.
-Why did she bring a book? To read it.
Can anyone tell me an explanation for this? Any tips for figuring out whether infinities are adj/adv?
