Infinitive or genrund?
Hello! Is there anyone who can help me with this question?
I know in the following sentence patterns gerund is used since "it" only serves as an empty subject: "It is no use/no good doing sth ", "It is fun/a pleasure/a waste of time doing sth", but how about "There is no use/need/good...sth" ? Whether infinitive or gerund shall be used here? I am still not so sure about the answer even though I have searched on line for quite a while. Could you please help me out if there are any native speakers who see this post. A thousand thanks for your kindness!
