Are these sentences correct:
1) We seek water if we are thirsty, in the same way that we try to find food if we are hungry.
2) We seek water if we are thirsty, in the same way as we try to find food if we are hungry.
3) We seek water if we are thirsty, just as we try to find food if we are hungry.

#2 sounds a bit convoluted. #3 is the expected.
