“Brock Lesnar is officially retired,” he added. “I promised my wife and my kids if I won this fight that I would get a title shot and that would be my last one, but if I lost tonight ... everyone, you’ve been great.”
Does it mean that he promised his wife and kids that if he won that fight he would have a chance to fight for the championship and if that happened it would be his last fight for the title of the champion?
That sentence is a bit strange to me. Thanks.
