Identifying Sentence Types
Here is a worksheet I am working on, but having difficulty with. If someone could help me with it it would be great. Thanks!
Identify each of the sentences below by type: simple, compound, complex, or compound-complex.
1. Each day during the summer, Tom drives to Malibu and stays all day.
2. Before Jean leaves for work, she reads the newspapers.
3. Although Custer and his men were well-armed and had information about the enemy, the Indians made a surprise attack and captured the army.
4. Boxing is a demanding sport; it requires great athletic skill, determination, and self-discipline.
5. Call the doctor if your child has a fever.
6. Dogs are good friends to man, but many people prefers cats because cats are more independent than dogs.
7. It is imperative that you finish your work tonight.
