I need three words about sides
Life has three sides. The first side of your life is those that can be directly perceived by others like your education, career and family. The second side of your life is those that cannot be directly or instantly perceived by others like your personalities, hobbies, likes and dislikes. The third side of your life is those you try to hide from others like your stupid mistakes, crimes, cheat or affairs.
I am not sure which three words are commonly used to describe the different sides of an object.
Are there right? I need your 2 cents, thanks.

'Lateral' means 'side', so one of the words is redundant. Just use front , back , and side of an object. However, those words won't apply to 'life' as in your narrative, which is not an object.

Thanks..In this case, life is likened to an object. It's a metaphor. Can't it work in English?

Why can't i use this metaphor? i mean..If an object is put in front of me, i can directly see the front and i can also see the side with some efforts. But i cannot see the back. It's applicable to life.
