"I didn't want make the same mistakes again after those mistakes I made at that time."
Could you give me good sentences to explain my situation?
Here is the situation.
I do something until I am fed up with it and then I do not want to do it again.
For example, if I want to quit smoking, I smoke heavily until I feel like throwing up and then I quit it cold turkey.
When I was younger, I made lots of mistakes, sometimes on purpose because I wanted to learn from my mistakes and I would like to express the situation in English, so I made a sentence but this is somewhat unnatural and I feel like it implies a different meaning for what I intended.
"I didn't want make the same mistakes again after those mistakes I made at that time."
What do you think about the example sentence? Do you think that it implies I do something until I am fed up with it and then I do not want to do it again? Or do you have good sentences to tell the situation? Or do I need to say additional explanations to make it sense and to make the sentence mean what I intend?
And make a sentence or make up a sentence? Which one is appropriate?
Thank you so much in advance.
