Someone learns a Polish language and I wanna find out if he/she makes somes progress. Would it be correct the sentence like that:

Thank you very much. Somebody learns the Polish language but not at the moment so if the question like above is also correct? If I have to ask "How does the Polish learning go?"

Learning a language is an ongoing (continuous) enterprise. I would not change the wording of your enquiry unless you know that the student has stopped trying to learn. Then, you might ask, "How did your Polish learning go?"
