However in a sentence

Hi,

Can I use however in such a sentence:

"On last Friday I received my May's salary, however you've transferred it to my GBP account and it was automatically exchange by the bank to 2000 GBP (exchange rate = 1,00)."

This is a common type of comma-splice error. Either start a new sentence at "However", or put a semicolon before and a comma after. 00 ).

Last Friday I received my salary for May; however, you've transferred it to my GBP account and it was automatically converted by the bank to GBP 2000 (exchange rate = 1.00).

"May's salary" was incorrect or just sounds not right.
