How do I write a leave letter to my company?
I need medical leave as I have family problems.
A leave application letter needs five things: the date, the recipient, your leave dates, a brief reason, and how your work will be covered. Keep it polite and under 150 words — a short, clear request is easier to approve than a long explanation.
State your exact leave dates in the first sentence.
Give the reason briefly — one line is enough.
Say who covers your work while you're away.
Close with "Yours sincerely" (named recipient) or "Yours faithfully" (unnamed).
Keep the whole letter under 150 words.
New words, one handy idiom, and a 2-minute quiz — delivered to your inbox to keep your streak alive.

This looks adequate. But I don't know what 'w.e.f.' means.
Best wishes, Clive
