Is the following sentence correct...

"I got a transfer to Hyderabad, so I will be moving from bangalore this sunday. i thank all of you for being supportive and wish u all the best in your career"

"I got a transfer is correct" or "I got transfer is correct" and please do any corrections in the above sentence if needed...
