How to improve this sentence?
Hi again,
Below is an upmteenth sentence from my ever-lasting translation project:
«The light wind brought (with it) the cries of the forest dwellers»
Do you think I should keep the bracketed phrase or get rid of it? And maybe you can suggest a word more atmospheric than "brought"?

I like 'with it'. 'Carried' is another choice for 'brought'.
