How should i define my english?
hey
as i was browsing around the 'australian visa bureau site, and i came across with the application for a working holiday visa...
in the process of completing the application there was a question about english abillities...
the options they were given are: basic, moderate and native english speaker for people who are speaking the language as their first spoken language and those who are the holders of a british passport.
i wouldnt call my self a native english speaker even though i have lived 3 years in the uk when i was very young (1-4 years old), even though i was surrounded with english im still not a native speaker (due to the relocation to)
bottom line, can i just choose the native english speaker option since i am a british citizen?
the moderate option seems so lame, and i rather choose native... [:^)]

From your writing, I do not judge you to be a native speaker. The question is meant to determine your language ability. 'Moderate' is an optimistic choice, in my opinion.
