I am learning about exclamations with "what and how".
I thought in "how exclamation", "how " is followed by an adjective or adverb but I can't see that pattern in the above example "How I love summer holidays!"

" The exclamation point is there to show that the inversion of subject and verb does not denote a question. Look at the section on the webpage under "Exclamatives with interrogative form". I can't totally agree with Cambridge there.

In the old days, that would have been "How do I love the summer holidays!" The exclamation point is there to show that the inversion of subject and verb does not denote a question. Look at the section on the webpage under "Exclamatives with interrogative form".

I can't totally agree with Cambridge there. It looks like they are trying to limit your use of the exclamation poi
