I need help in writing a letter to the corporate office to reconsider holiday pay for our small practice. This is what I have so far:
We are grateful for the opportunity to work for such a respected company like ___. We feel we are integral members of a company that values the input from their employees. Our benefit package is highly competitive to include 401(k), medical, dental, vision, and paid time off and we recognize the importance of such a large company offering equal benefits to all of their employees but as you may know, we currently do not receive paid time off for the five holidays acknowledged by the company which forces each employee to use accumulated time off toward these holidays. These hours are also utilized for personal days off to include sick days. Although our employees are dedicated and unusually absent unless necessary, these (forced) days off have a strong impact on the slow accumulation for time off. We ask that you offer the opportunity for the employee to work so that they may continue to accumulate time off or to be payed for the day the employee is (forced) to take time off which again, takes away from the slowly accumulated time each employee earns in a 40 hour work week.
