Higher/larger (the higher the)
Hello,
Which is correct?
The higher the number of applications, the more likely the admissions.
The larger the number of applications, the more likely the admissions.
Similarly, "a high number of applications" or "a large number of applications"?
Which? Or both?
Is there a rule that specifies which ("higher/high" or "larger/large") should be used in certain cases?
