Someboy can explain me the diferents of in/at/on/by, i am learning english and there is an exercise of it.

There are also complicated ways to use these words, but here are some very simple definitions. I hope they help you. If you already know these, and they are too simple to help you, why don't you post your exercise here, with your answers, and we can correct them for you?

The cat is in the box means the cat is inside the box. You open the box, and there is the cat.

The cat is at the box means the cat's position is near the box.

The cat is on the box means the cat is on top of the box.

The cat is by the box means the cat is beside the box.

My english is very bad, i know it Don't worry about it, every English learner has bad English at the beginning. It will get better.
