Here comes the sun, years it's been here
How should I understand the line following the arrow?
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right
Little darling
It's been a long, cold lonely winter
Little darling
--> It feels like years since it's been here...
a) The winter has been here for too long
b) The last time the sun was here was a long time ago.
Though the idea is the same either way, what does IT refer to?
I guess the sun, since later it says, It's a long time since it's been clear.
