Help with formulation

If a poetic event takes place and is accompanied by an instrument playing, a piano in this case, that is a piano was accompanying the reading, would the sentences below be OK to describe it:


It was a poetic evening at the sound of the piano.


or


It was a poetic event accompanied by the sound of the piano.
