Have gotta and gotta

Hi. Can you please tell me what the difference is between "I've gotta" and "I gotta"? I know "gotta" stands for "got to". Thank you!

nh "I've gotta" and "I gotta"? There is no difference in meaning, but neither should be used in formal writing.

yes gotta stands for got to, but it is slang, not standard English. Gotta is OK for text messages / talking on facebook with friends ect. but not for work or school
