Is it correct to say these sentences below and are they informal?

Let's have a walk this afternoon.

Let's have a run this afternoon.

Let's have a bike ride this afternoon.

I'm not familiar with 'have' in that context. Maybe it's British. In North American English you'll here 'go for' instead of 'have'.

Is it also correct to say 'go on a walk/run/bike ride/swim'?

Is there any difference between go for a walk and go on a walk?
