halfway through
Hi, Is there any other option that can be a subtitude for 'halfway through'? As in 'Prisoners will be released halfway through their sentence'. Thanks.

You could use:
midway through
partway through
part of the way through
If I think of any more I'll get back
midway through
partway through
part of the way through
If I think of any more I'll get back

Hi davkett,
Because I didn't quite understand how to use it properly. I took it as a span rather than a point in a span so in the sentence 'prisoners will be released half way through their sentence' it meant as if the release takes place throughout the entire half of the imprisonment duration whereas it is obviously not what was meant. Can I go now?

Dear KO,
This would do it without using a substitute term:
Prisoners will be released at a point halfway through their sentence.
