Grammar query-when to use future tense and present progressive?

Can anyone please explain why d is the right answer for the first question , c for second and c for the third?why its not c for first and d for second and b for third?

I know twenty people ............. for the party.
a) definitely come
b) are definitely coming
c) will definitely come
d) are definitely going to come

I’m sure you ________ a lot better after a good night’s sleep.

a) feel
b) are feeling
c) will feel
d) are going to feel

If the plane gets in late I ............. my train connection.

a) am missing
b) will miss
c) am going to miss
d) will be missing

I've given you my opinions below.

I know twenty people ............. for the party. [ I'd say "to the party".]
a) definitely come
b) are definitely coming < also OK
c) will definitely come < also OK, but not as good as the others
d) are definitely going to come < given answer
I was unable to decide which is the best answer on this one.

I’m sure you ______ a lot better after a good night’s sleep.

a) feel
b) are feeling
c) will feel < given answer
d) are going to feel < also possible, but it sounds a little like you expect this person to make himself better through an act of the will, which isn't usually how people feel better.

If the plane gets in late I ............. my train connection.

a) am missing
b) will miss < also possible, but it doesn't sound as emotionally charged as it usually is when a person is going to miss his train.
c) am going to miss < given answer Here there is the element of observed evidence that something "is going to" happen. That's often a reason for using 'going to'.
d) will be missing
