Question

I recently read on a website the following sentence:"English grammar requires that the subject come before the verb in a sentence ".When it's reduced,the same sentence can be understood as: "It requires that it comes/that it must come before a verb...".Therefore, I understand that the first sentence is not correct. Could anybody help me on this question?

This sentence is fine.

Your "reduced" version of the sentence is unclear and ambiguous; the two "it"s do not refer to the same thing. I don't see why you feel the need to "reduce" the sentence at all, but a more accurate representation might be "A requires that B come before C in a sentence." I don't see why you think the original is incorrect.

It's correct. "come" is the subjunctive here and collocates with "requires".
