How are new grammar points best presented?

Are you asking how a teacher should present new grammatical information? There are many good approaches, but without knowing what grammatical points you have in mind, I can't really advise you.

Sometimes, it is helpful to present a quandary to the class. For example, if you teaching simple past tense pronunciation (t,d, id) with "ed," you could open with something like "Have you ever noticed how the 'ed' at the end of "walked" is pronounced like t, but the 'ed' at the end of "needed" is pronounced as id? You provide many examples. Then you say that it turns out that what looks like a crazy pronunciation system is really quite easy to learn...blah blah blah.

You could do the same approach when teaching the spelling rule about when to double a final consonant of a word when adding a suffix to it.

Sometimes, you can make a comparison to the students' native language if they all speak the same language, and you can speak it as well.

At any rate, there are many ways to go about teaching something. It depends on several factors. Sometimes, it is handy to teach deductively (providing a generalization before examples). Other times, you may prefer to teach something inductively,.letting the students derive the "rule."

Sometimes you need to present some vocabulary (grammatical terms, for example) first.

There are many decent English language videos available on youtube and other sites. You have to watch quite a few before you can choose which ones to use.

There are many ways to start a lesson or unit.
It depends on what you are teaching.
