I would like if someone can help me please with the following question..............
Question:
Identifying key aspects of Meaning, Form and Pronunciation, checking learners understand, and Write the structure phonetically withany problems you anticipate learners may have with this and what you would do to help them.
FOR FOLLOWING THREE SENTENCES:
a) She has been to China.
b) I‘ll have finished this book by the weekend.
c) He said he wouldn't help her.
Example: I managed to reach the top.
1. To succeed in doing something difficult.
2. Last your I decided to climb a mountain. I'm not very fit, so it was very difficult. About halfway up I nearly gave up, but finally I reached the top.
3. Did I reach the top? -- Yes
Was it easy? --- No
4.Form: manage + infinitive.
Learners need to know that manage is followed by full infinitive (managed to do). I could check this by asking ‘Can we say ‘I managed reaching the top?'' or ‘I managed reach the top?' In this example they can see that it is a regular verb, but I might need to check this if I presented it in the present simple.
5. Pron: / 'maenIdz dt /. I would model the pronunciation and use fingers to highlight the weak form of 'to' and link with 'reach'. Then drill.
